Working with Purple Patch on our ESRC-funded project, Living Life to the Fullest has been brilliant. With children and young people alongside as our co-researchers, the project is a space where disabled children and young people can tell new stories of disability â their own stories.
Purple Patch has both led and supported our arts-informed methods in the project: our desire to enable disabled children and young people to tell their stories through access to the arts. This has included leading a residential Arts Retreat with young people and their families, and supporting us to build a national art exhibition at the end of the project. Therefore, Purple Patchâs impact in our project has been significant. The work they have done with and for us with disabled children and young people has been considered, innovative and exciting.
