Bronia supports all of the staff and participants on our Lifelong Learning Programmes. She also books all of our venues, makes sure we keep to our policies, and generally keeps everyone happy and smiling. Bronia loves all things crafty, giggling with her little girl, sunny days and is especially fond of custard creams and Haribo!

Dawn Ware

Dawn supports the team with all things financial. If you have a query about an invoice, she’s the person to speak to! Outside of work she sings soprano in a couple of choirs and loves listening to music. She enjoys reading and is a member of a book club (more of a social than literary gathering!!) She has two lovely daughters and five adorable grandchildren who make her very happy.


Fran Rodgers

Fran leads the fabulous team at Purple Patch and oversees the running and development of the Company, which includes coming up with new projects, securing funding, building relationships with partners, delivering training, and as many spreadsheets as she can possibly fit into a day. In her spare time she sings with the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus, is a trustee of The Swan Song Project, and has a passion for gardening, especially if she can eat what she’s grown!


Hannah Greenwood

Hannah works to plan and deliver creative education activity across Purple Patch’s funded projects, as well as being an extra helping hand in the Lifelong Learning Programmes when needed. She regularly gives individual carpool karaoke performances when driving and enjoys singing a mix of jazz, R&B and soul, with a bit of musical theatre thrown in! Hannah’s perfect day would include coffee, yoga and lots of cuddles with the family dog.

Jessica Aldred

Jessica works alongside Bronia to make sure that all the Lifelong Learning Programmes run smoothly. Jessica is part of the team that deals with programmes admin, writing the scheme of work for the year, making sure everyone has all the resources they need, and supporting the staff in the programmes in doing the amazing jobs they do. Jessica is also programme leader in Skipton and often pops up in other programmes too! Outside of work much of Jessica’s time is spent taking care of her little daughter Lyra, going for lots of walks and spending time with family and friends. Whenever she has a spare moment she loves to read, draw and do embroidery.

Melanie Maddison

Melanie works behind the scenes to support the operational activities of the organisation to ensure that things run smoothly and to make sure that we’re in line with legal obligations. She supports with all the fun stuff; health & safety, contracts, HR, and tech subscriptions! She’s not as dull as she sounds, outside of work she enjoys an eclectic mix of diy punk gigs, Elizabeth Taylor & The Golden Age of Hollywood, self-publishing, Eurovision, radical and political art, sloths, and World’s Strongest Man.


Melissa Kirby

Melissa is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds who is doing her PhD all about Purple Patch Arts. Melissa works with the Purple Research Group to explore what purple people get out of going to Purple Patch Arts. Melissa is a singer and (out of practice!) trombonist and she enjoys doing aerial arts, climbing and baking in her spare time.

Róisín Reynolds

Róisín works with Hannah to plan and deliver creative education workshops for our new ‘Move On Up’ transitions project. This project is aimed at providing early support to young people with learning disabilities and autism in Leeds and Bradford leaving school, college and young people’s services, empowering them to transition successfully to adult community services.
She loves to play the flute and ukulele and sew her own clothes. She also enjoys reading mystery novels and is a big fan of musicals, particularly Hamilton!
