Rita brings a wealth of experience to the board through her background in coaching, leadership, governance and higher education. She has studied business, HR and international development at postgraduate level and has a PhD in the Gendered Analysis of Vocational Education, Skills Development & Self-Employment!

Rita is particularly passionate about empowering women, young people, and underrepresented communities to fulfil their potentials and be the best versions of themselves, both personally and professionally. In addition to her professional experience, Rita is also the parent of a Purple Patch Arts participant and uses this valuable lived-experience perspective to support Board decision making.

Rita is an active member of Life Church Bradford and has been since 2013. In her spare time she enjoys family time, going to her favourite restaurants, visiting the theatre and engaging in philanthropic work. She does not like ironing!
