Purple Patch do a brilliant job of supporting their members to learn and create – as well as to make friends, have fun and grow in confidence. Quite a lot of people (with and without learning disabilities) are members of both Pyramid and Purple Patch and at Pyramid we really see how Purple Patch members grow in confidence and knowledge of the outside world and the issues that affect all of our lives. These are all skills which compliment the things that they learn at Pyramid and allow them to grow as people and as friends to each other. It’s clear from the arts projects that Purple Patch have created for things like the BEYOND Festival that the sessions are run to a really high standard and that the members love to be at Purple Patch. It’s great for Pyramid and its members to share our city with an organisation as great as Purple Patch.
