Previous Work

We’ve been lucky enough to run some fabulous projects over the years. Here are some of our highlights.

To Wander is to Adventure

Living Life to the Fullest

We were part of a research project called ‘Living Life to the Fullest’, which sought to forge new understandings of the lives, hopes, desires and contributions of children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. An arts retreat that we ran as part of the project was featured on BBC Breakfast.

Sensory Stories

We delivered training to library staff in Kirklees and Bradford in how to deliver Sensory Stories. The work, funded by Arts Council England, had a huge impact, with Kirklees libraries being nominated for a national Libraries Change Lives awards.

Future Digital Inclusion

The Future Digital Inclusion Fund was a programme funded by the Department for Education to help 1 million people to improve their digital skills over a 5-year period. We delivered fun, interactive sessions which developed participants’ understanding of what the internet can be used for and how to use it safely, including creating our own multi-sensory world wide webs and playing fishing games to learn about phishing.

I’ve learnt lots of new things, and I look forward to what we’re doing each week. I’m happy that I’m part of a group and am able to be myself at Purple Patch.

Megan

The best bit is seeing a sense of achievement in the participants as they learn, have fun and become more confident and independent.

John

If I didn’t have a bursary I wouldn’t be able to come, and I’m so glad that I can. It makes me happy to be part of the group.

Alex
